Greetings and Salutations

Hi everyone!!I don't know how many of you will actually see this considering how active this blog has been over the past few months.Well over the past few months I've been going down memory lane which has left me terribly nostalgic,missing school and our wonderful class so much.I recently had this discussion with Mallika ma'am about our batch and she still believes that we were one of the best and brightest batches to have passed out.she was full of praises not just for the collective lot but also individually.She actually talked about each person and their contribution,large or small.It made me realise how unique and special each one was and thats ahat made those two years so enjoyable and memorable.I miss you guys!!!Anyway will conclude now before I become overtly melodramatic(that is assuming that I haven't already).
Hope everyone is doing well.Oh yes,I would also like to mention the achievements of Avinash and Naveen who have started a theatre group and staged their first play which was extremely entertaining and impressive considering it was their first public performance.Congrats and hoping to see many more wonderful plays in the future.

  • WOW!
    Congrats Naveen and Avinash!
    I think the members of Green Room might take a look because I got a "forgot password" email twice from Blogger, and I presume everyone who joined Green Room will have got it too!
    Miss you all guys! (and gals :P hehe)

  • Hey... good to read a post other than mine or ADTC's ,finally...already into third year of engg, with placements just round the corner...can't believe how time flies... I too had been to school the other day, and was overcome by thios wierd feeling that everything seemed so familiar and yet so very different. the difference being that we were not in school anymore and were looking at it from an outsider's point of view...

    Anyways, thats life I guess... only time can teach us the value of such things... As Hellen Keller had said, "The most beautiful moments in life cannot be seen or touched, but must be felt with the heart".

    Anyways, hoping that all of you are doing well.

    Have a safe and happy Deepawali...

    Enjoy

    Oh, and I was there to witness the play put up by Naveen, Avinash and gang, and I must say it was an outstanding performance....

  • Hullo!

    Nice to see posts!

    Great to hear abou the play - congrats guys - keep it going. I just wish I was there to be a part of it all.

    Life is steaming along here.. have no idea how time is flying. Its been two and a half years since I left Bangalore now. wow!

    I think its high time we need to plan a big reunion and time it in such a way that everyone can meet up..

  • yea varun.. that's hard but i hope it's doable (the class reunion)
    ps: not sure if "doable" is a real word or not... ranjana could help me find out :P

In Each Other's Arms ( Subramanya Bharathi)

Thou to me the flowing Light
And I to thee discerning sight;
Honied blossom thou to me,
Bee enchanted I to thee;
O Heavenly Lamp with shining ray,
O Krishna,Love,O nectar-spray
With falt'ring tongue and words that pant
Thy glories here I strive to chant

Thou to me the harp of gold
And I to thee the finger bold;
Necklace shining thou to me
New-set diamond I to thee;
O mighty queen with splendour rife
O Krishna,Love,O well of life,
Thine eyes do shed their light on all
Wherev'r turn,their beams do fall

Rain that singeth thou to me;
Peacock dancing I to thee;
Thou to me the juice of grape
And I to thee the cup agape;
O spotless Beauty,Krishna bright,
Perennial fount of deep delight,
O Love,thy face hath grace divine
For there the deathless Truth doth shine

Silver moonlight thou to me,
Exulting Ocean I to thee,
Thou the basic harmony
And I the song that moveth free;
Dear as eyesight,Krishna,mine,
O Massed-up,sweet,immortal wine
Unceasing yearns my mind to scan
Thy endless charm,but never can

Inlaid perfume thou to me,
Petalled blossom I to thee,
Thou to me the Inner Thought
And I to thee the word it wrought;
O honeyed Hope,O Krishna fair,
O Joy,O'er flowing everywhere,
O Star of love,do teach me,pray,
To sing thy praise in fitting lay

Deep Attraction thou to me
Living magnet I to thee,
Thou to me the Veda pure
And I to thee the Knowledge sure;
Voice vibrant of the world's desire
O Krishna Love all-quickening fire,
In utter stillness here i see
Thy face that yieldeth ecstasy

As life to Pulse and gold to rings,
As star to planet,soul to things,
So Krishna,Love,art thou to me;
Thou,the force,I Victory
And all the joys of Heaven and Earth
In thee,O Krishna,have their birth
Ethereal glory,endless Might
O Heart of Mine,O Light,O Light!

Hmm...

Cobwebs all over, this blog is becoming more like a haunted house. All the major players here are too busy to write a small post at least, leaving small time players like me on our own. Oh well...

  • so what happened to the bethany blogs?
    yea this new website is badly designed. navigation is unfriendly and organisation is not good.
    some pages are partially or totally blank...

    By Blogger ADTC, at Sat Dec 16, 08:15:00 PM GMT+5:30

  • i just pulled out Google cache of the old bethanyhigh.net... nostalgia!... the old version, though broken, is better than the new one... sir should have improved on the old one, rather than creating a new one.

    By Blogger ADTC, at Sat Dec 16, 08:24:00 PM GMT+5:30

  • Yeah. I think the school should probably spend a little money and outsource the work to a good design company, that would help keep it update and with the times. We were one of the first schools to have a website..but now I wouldnt want to show any net savvy person our website. Also there really isnt much to show..

    It needs to convey information to new comers (info thats to the ponts, photographs, etc..), provide information to students/parents associated with the school (year schedules, holday lists, time tables and exam/extra curricular reports) and basically be a fun and interesting place. It really isnt too much hard work - only needs some commitment

  • The Poly website is redesigned now, so have a look even if u had visited before :)
